Air Malta considering reopening of Frankfurt route

Air Malta is currently reconsidering the possibility of reopening its Frankfurt route, tourism Minister K. Mizzi has confirmed. Mizzi was responding to a supplementary parliamentary question put to him by shadow tourism minister R. Arrigo, this morning.

According to the minister, Air Malta's marketing team was currently evaluating the possibility of opening a number of new routes, as well as others which might have been closed in the past.

He stressed however, that if Air Malta were to reopen its Frankfurt route, this would have to come with a holistic plan and long-term.
"It would have to be done well and would not result in Air Malta returning for one season," said the minister. (Source: maltatoday.com, 30-Jun-2017)
